From 5th to 9th july there will be the first edition of all around emtb. this is an international competition open to all bikers who want to compete on new tracks in the aosta valley, making “camp” in Cogne, Gressoney, Antey and Valpelline.
Take one of the European regions with the most mountains above 4000m, enter the outdoor discipline of the moment and call together all the e-bikers who want to experience a unique moment: this is the recipe of All Around eMTB, the first race in “open” stages, exclusively designed for eMTBs.
What we propose is innovative: an adventure to discover the wildest Aosta Valley, with a circular itinerary of 200 km and 8,000 m. D+, to be completed in four days of racing, with a start and finish in Cogne (in the foothills of Gran Paradiso!).
To meet different needs, you can also register for the ALL AROUND 100, which completes the last two stages of the ring (100 km, 4000 m D+).
The distances and the daily differences in height are challenging, but feasible with a single battery thanks to the recharging point (and refreshment!) Provided approximately midway in each stage. Anyone who wants to do so can still bring a second battery to manage (and transport) independently.
During each stage, you need to know how to manage your strength and your battery optimally to get to the end of each stage giving your best in the special stages.
The first stage: departure from Cogne, along the Champorcher Valley ending with a last and very short special stage (uphill!) to the “conquest” of the Bard Fortress. Then, a transfer by minibus will take the participants to the All Around Camp in Gressoney la Trinitè, at the foot of Monte Rosa.
The second stage: descent and crossing the Val d’Ayas, along the Valtournanche to reach Antey Sant’André with a view of the Matterhorn.
The third stage, the most demanding and wildest: after crossing the Saint Barthélemy valley, you will have to cross two “epic” hills, and then descend into Valpelline.
The fourth stage, the last, after passing through the historic centre of Aosta, ascend (by cable car) to Pila for the first challenging special stage of the day specially designed, in the Pila Bike Park; resuming the south direction you go up to 2800 m to begin the last, epic descent towards the finish line in Cogne.
The race takes place in an alpine environment with many sections at high altitudes reaching over 2700 m. The safety of all competitors remains the absolute priority for us and it is our job to guarantee it: you are left with the engagement, the fun and the desire for adventure!
At the end of each day, you will arrive at the All Around Camp: a large tensile structure inspired by the Tuareg tents that will be assembled at the arrival of each stage. In addition to the race directors and the day’s awards ceremony, there will be space for relaxation with beer, music and typical products. We’ll also set up washing, maintenance and parking areas for e-bikes at the camp.
