ALL AROUND eMTB Bosch takes place in the alpine environment of the Valle d’Aosta Region.
It is a cycling event that takes place in a mountain and high mountain environment. The choice of the routes was made by a team of experts with a deep knowledge of this specific territory, combining the following criteria:
- Ring itinerary (for the AA200) as linear as possible;
- Connection between the valleys by completing the perimeter of the Middle and Lower Valle d’Aosta;
- Passage to the most spectacular places under the great mountains of Gran Paradiso, Monte Rosa and Matterhorn;
- Sufficient safety margins: even if this is an aspect deStageated to the Organization, the participants must also be aware of the severe environments;
- The routes are without mandatory “portage” sections, clearly excluding those necessary to pass from one valley to another, even if they involve walking and pushing your eMTB . The exception to this is Colle Tsa Setze ( 1st stage between Pila and Cogne), where in fact the Organization has foreseen a significant number of support staff for the riders in the central stretch of about 100 meters D +;
- All routes have been strongly guided by the severe geomorphological characteristics of the territory, the most demanding stretches are always the only ones possible as well as the easiest ones. To all the friends, and others, who show us alternative solutions, we tell them that every meter of the path has been carefully thought out by evaluating any alternatives and if we are there it is because the alternatives either did not exist or were discarded as worse, so TRUST;
- All Around eMTB Bosch is a large-scale event that touches all types of terrain, single tracks, dirt roads and stretches of asphalted road (as little as possible) and it is with this spirit and philosophy that we ask you to participate;

Event
ALL AROUND eMTB Bosch provides two formats:
- AA200, circular route divided into 5 stages, with start and finish in the city of Aosta.
- AA100, route in two stages (the last two of the AA200), starting from Antey and arriving in Aosta;
The novelty of All Around eMTB Bosch 2023 is the presence of 3 categories:
- Open category
- Category Master
- Randonnée category
For the Open and Master Categories , all the rules that frame All Around eMTB Bosch as a race subject to the regulations of the Italian National Cycling Federation. The times of the competitors will be included in the registration category and in the general classification.
For the Randonnée Category the rules that determine the race do not apply, no rankings will be drawn up (on request the travel times will be communicated if in possession of the chip). All the rules that set safety, maximum travel times of a stage or a stretch must also be respected.
1.1 FORMAT (Open and Master Categories)
The race time is the time taken by each competitor to travel the track, from the start to the finish of the Stage.
About halfway through the third, fourth and fifth stages (first and second for the AA100) there will be a Refreshment / Recharge Point with time neutralization. All competitors must stop for a time that must be no less than 1 hour and no more than 2 hours.
Refreshments with a hot dish and battery recharging are provided.
The start of each stage will be individual with an interval between competitors of 30 ”(thirty seconds).
The route develops mostly on typical mountain paths, with the crossing – every day – of at least one hill over 2,500 m asl. There are numerous technical and sometimes very technical sections (even uphill) that require continuing on foot by pushing your eMTB .
There will be no direction signals throughout the course. Orienting yourself on a map following a GPS track is part of the skills that pilots must have to complete the race. It is therefore necessary to have a good knowledge of how to load and follow a GPS track from a special device.
All Around eMTB Bosch is a race that requires adequate equipment, necessary to safely face any weather conditions and travel at high altitudes. Competitors must be self-sufficient even for any small repairs to their vehicles.
The final classification of the category is obtained from the sum of the travel times of the 5 Stages for the AA200 or the 2 Stages for the AA100, in addition to any penalty minutes attributed by the President of the Jury for facts relating to the race.
IMPORTANT
The event takes place in an alpine environment, over demanding distances, where recovery and rescue can sometimes be complicated. The priority of the competitors must be to arrive, at the end of each stage, self-sufficient and with the vehicle intact. The competitive aspect must be subordinated to the safety of the driver and the vehicle.

Open and Master categories
Only one battery is allowed.
The use of external Extender is allowed only for e-MTBs for which the extender is provided and approved by the parent company. Only extender duly certified CE, original and approved by the manufacturer are allowed.
Randonnée category
There are no restrictions on batteries.
Race
2.1 START
The start will be individual and the competitors will start 30 seconds apart.
The starting order of the first Stage will respect the bib number assigned at the time of registration. The first positions will be awarded on the basis of the National Top Class (Enduro) ranking. The following 30 positions will be reserved for the best classified in the previous edition of the All Around 200 and the same will happen for those enrolled in the AA100 which will start at the end of the AA200.
Each competitor will have their own starting time which will be communicated to each competitor and displayed at the race direction.
In the following stages, the orders and departure times will respect the absolute classification of the previous day: the first in the classification will start first.
Each competitor must be ready to leave at the indicated time; the delay will be subject to a penalty.
2.2 ROUTE (valid for all Categories)
The official track will be delivered to the competitors in GPX format a few days before the race. The competitor must have a suitable tool (GPS or APP on the phone) to be able to follow the track. Tools and ability to use will be checked upon delivery of the bib and race pack. In case of lack of suitable tools it will not be possible to participate in the tender. The specialized staff of All Around eMTB Bosch will be available to give the right support to those who need it, making sure that at the time of departure everyone is able to do everything necessary to complete the itinerary.
Open and Master categories
The itinerary of the Stage must be covered in its entirety, under penalty of disqualification of the Stage. Shortcuts and route cuts are not allowed: the track of the route made by the participants will be checked by the GPS tracking system at the race direction. To discourage any cuts, checks will be made along the way.
All categories must respect the rules of the event and the highway code. The route will not be closed to traffic, nor to hikers. Competitors must also allow hikers (or cyclists) they may meet along the route to pass safely. Competitors will have to sportingly let those who are faster than them pass.
2.3 SATELLITE TRACKING (for all Categories)
Each competitor will be equipped with a GPS tracking system (Tracker) that will allow him to identify his updated position in real time.
Through the special app, which can be downloaded for free, the public, friends and relatives will be able to follow the progress of the raiders throughout the race.
2.4 SIGNS (for all categories)
The route will NOT be highlighted by continuous signs. Indicator signs may be placed only in the critical points:
- dangerous points (a special sign will be placed 10-20 meters before the obstacle or potential danger);
- intersections with busy roads;
Orientation on a map is part of the skills that drivers must have to complete the race in the best possible way.
The entire route will be checked daily by the dedicated AA eMTB Bosch staff before the start of each stage.
2.5 TIME CHECK GATES (for all categories)
For safety reasons, time gates will be positioned on the route: competitors who arrive after the maximum allowed time will be suspended from the stage and will have to contact the Organization to agree on how to return to the All Around Camp . Runners in the Open and Master categories will be able to restart the following day only in the Randonnée category .
The maximum times allowed will be communicated in the race chat , in the briefings and posted on the notice board of the Race Secretariat.
2.6 REFRESHMENT/RECHARGING POINT (TC – TIME CONTROL)
For all categories
About halfway through Stage 3, Stage 4 and the fifth Stage (first and second for the AA100) there will be a Refreshment / Recharge Point.
At the Refreshment / Recharge Point the competitor will have to recharge the battery of his eMTB with his own charger that he has brought in his backpack. You must also have the key or tools to remove the battery from your eMTB . ATTENTION! The batteries of competitors who will have eMTBs with a removable battery will not be charged if they are not disconnected from the eMTB . Instead, the batteries of those eMTB models that do not provide for the possibility of removing the battery will be charged.
Open and Master categories
At the Refreshment / Recharge Point there will be the TC with the position of the Timekeeper and the Race Judge for the neutralization of the race time of each rider until the restart.
For the restart, the competitor must report to the TC within no less than 1 hour and no more than 2 hours. The maximum time for the competitor to leave the TC is two hours after neutralization: if the competitor leaves the TC late, the delay will be added to the travel time of the stage.
2.7 STAGE ARRIVAL
The official arrival of each Leg will take place under the official arch at the All Around Camp. For technical reasons, the timing can be positioned just before the official end of the Stage arc.
Open and Master categories
The competitor is required to report to the TC at the end of the Stage within the maximum time established, under penalty of exclusion from the order of arrival of the stage.
2.8 DAILY BRIEFING (for all categories)
The briefing of each stage will take place every morning 30 minutes before the departure of the first competitor. The briefings in 3 languages (Italian, French and English) will also be sent to the competitors the evening before on the race chat and posted on the official bulletin board. The briefing is essential to give the competitors important technical information, updates on the weather, any changes to the itinerary and all that is considered important for the safe conduct of the race. Presence is strongly recommended!
Enrolment
3.1 MEMBERSHIPS
Open and Master categories
Annex Around eMTB Bosch is open to competitors aged at least 19 in the year of the event, who are:
- FCI members and FCI affiliated promotion bodies;
- foreign participants in possession of an international card recognized by the UCI;
The possession of the competitive fitness certificate for cycling is required.
Athletes who are not FCI members and foreign athletes must upload a copy of the certificate on the ENDU portal where registration for the race takes place. The medical certificate must meet the requirements described in the following paragraph.
Participation with an FCI day pass is allowed (€ 10 per day).
Randonnée category
It is open to competitors aged at least 18 in the year of the event and in possession of a sports medical certificate.
3.2 MEDICAL CERTIFICATE (Open and Master Categories)
Participation is subject to regular possession of the following requirement:
- for athletes registered with the FCI or Sports Promotion Bodies: certificate of fitness for competitive cycling (certificates are not valid for other types of sports such as triathlon, duathlon, athletics, etc.);
- for subjects of Italian residence but not registered with the FCI or Sports Promotion Bodies: certificate of suitability for the practice of sporting activity of particular and high cardiovascular commitment (as per Ministerial Decree of 24.04.2013) – for the correct model, see link: Certified model for particular sporting activity and high cardiovascular commitment ;
- for foreign residents: certificate of eligibility to participate in competitive cycling races also issued by a dTCtor from their country of residence – for the correct model, see. link Certificate for foreign residents
The verification of the FCI card or the correct possession of an adequate medical certificate will take place at the time of accreditation and collection of the race pack.
3.3 ENROLMENTS (for all Categories)
Enrolments will take place via the ENDU platform after signing the Disclaimer form and these Regulations. Failure to accept the Liability Release Form in all its parts will not allow participation in the event.
Open and Master categories
For FCI members, registrations must also be received through the Federal Information System “Factor K”, at the same time as registration on the ENDU platform.
Registrations will be considered valid only if the payment of the registration fee is successful.
For all categories
By registering for the event, the athlete declares to be in possession of the necessary technical, athletic and psychophysical skills.

3.4 STARTING ORDER ( Cat . Open and Master)
The first positions will be assigned on the basis of the National Top Class (Enduro) ranking. The following 30 positions will be reserved for the best classified in the previous edition of the AA200; all other numbers will be assigned according to the order of registration.
The race number will be a table to be affixed to the handlebar and a cloth to be applied to the backpack and must be displayed for the entire duration of the race, intact, not folded or modified.
eMTBs
The eMTB must be in a perfect state of maintenance and efficiency. The Race Direction reserves the right to exclude from the competition the competitors who do not respect this rule.
Open and Master categories
Mechanical assistance is only allowed before the start of each stage and at the end of it.
4.1 eMTB ALLOWED (for all categories)
The admitted bicycles must be subject to the European Directive 2002/24 / EC which defines the pedal assisted bicycle as follows:
The European directive 2002/24 / EC (article 1, point h) defines the pedal assisted bicycle as a bicycle equipped with an electric motor that is auxiliary to human pedaling and with the following characteristics:
- motor 250 watts maximum;
- power to the engine progressively reduced and therefore interrupted when reaching 25 km / h;
- engine power supply interrupted before 25 km / h if the cyclist stops pedaling;
- it is allowed to have thrust assistance (feet on the ground), which must not exceed 6 km / h;
- the original sensor must not be modified;
Vehicles that comply with this directive are not required to be type-approved and are considered to all intents and purposes like traditional bicycles.
On the other hand, vehicles that do not meet these requirements at the same time cannot be considered bicycles and must therefore be homologated and registered.
This directive was implemented in Italy with the decree of 31 January 2003 of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and is therefore in force.
Any modification, processing or application that can cancel (even temporarily) the limitation of the engine thrust above 25 km / h is prohibited.
The software that manages the engine, must necessarily be the original one supplied on the bike used, can only be updated with official evolutions made available by the parent company.
4.2 CONTROLS (for all Categories)
The organization reserves the right to arrange surprise checks that will be carried out by specialized personnel through a bike test.
If irregularities are found, the competitor will be stopped and suspended from the race. If a competitor refuses to submit to the control he will be excluded from the race.
4.4 BATTERY
For all categories
Competitors must be completely self-sufficient, including with regards to their own battery and charger transport.
Open and Master categories
Only one battery is allowed. The use of external Extender is allowed only for eMTBs for which it is foreseen and approved by the parent company. Only extender duly certified CE, original and approved by the manufacturer are allowed. It will be up to the rider to justify, in front of the RACE DIRECTION, the homologation of the Extender , showing the technical data sheet of his bike, as officially published by the manufacturer. Extenders of a brand other than that provided in the catalog by the parent company are not allowed, even if compatible.
If the eMTB is not regular, there is exclusion from the race. It is strictly forbidden to replace the batteries along the route. Fast chargers are allowed for the mid-stage Refreshment / Recharge Point.
Randonnée category
There are no restrictions on the use of extra batteries and / or Extenders .
4.5 PARTS REPLACEMENTS ( Cat . Open and Master)
It is NOT allowed to replace: motor and battery during the entire duration of the competition.
If these parts fail, the competitor may go to the Organization which will evaluate the possibility of finding a solution that will allow the competitor to continue the race by evaluating a penalty in terms of time.
4.6 MARKINGS ( Cat . Open and Master)
Upon verification of the cards, the Organization will provide the adhesive counter-marks to be applied on the engine and on the battery.
During the competition, the Jury will check the presence of the counter-brands. If anomalies are found , the exclusion from the tender is foreseen.
Equipment
5.1 MANDATORY EQUIOMENT
Annex Around eMTB Bosch is a race that requires adequate equipment, necessary to safely tackle any weather condition and the high-altitude route.
Each runner must be completely self-sufficient and cannot have external assistance for the duration of each stage.
It is mandatory to have the mobile phone charged and switched on with you, both to be tracked and to contact the Organization in case of need. The race direction will communicate the telephone number to be contacted in case of emergency which will be mandatory to memorize in the address book of your mobile phone.
The use of:
- approved rigid helmet;
- knee pads;
- back protector or backpack with integrated approved back protector;
- long finger gloves;
It is mandatory to be self-sufficient with water supplies.
5.2 IN THE BACKPACK
Mandatory equipment to keep in the backpack:
- Health card and / or identity dTCument;
- Water bag or bottle;
- Battery charger for your bike;
- Power bank for your mobile phone;
- Energy bars;
- Rain jacket;
- Warm clothing;
- Charged headlamp (there will be tunnels on the race course in STAGE 2);
- Bike repair kit (see below);
- First aid kit (see below);
5.3 eMTB REPAIR KIT
Each competitor must carry in their backpack:
- Multitool ;
- Spare hanger;
- Chain puller + false link ;
- Replacement shift cable;
- Air chamber;
- Tire hunting levers;
- Pump;
5.4 FIRST AID UNIT
The first aid kit must consist of:
- Aluminum survival sheet;
- Whistle;
- Disinfectant;
- Plasters, bandages and medical tape (it is recommended to have the Steryl Strip Plasters with you);
5.5 EQUIPMENT CHECKS
Equipment checks may be carried out before the start and during the race. The Organization may decide to stop runners who are not adequately equipped.
Timing
6.1 CHIP
Each competitor, before the start of the race, is provided with a chip for recording the times (with the payment of a deposit of 100 €).
The chip must be returned at the end of the match.
6.2 RENDER ASSISTANCE
For all categories
T he competition takes place in an alpine environment where rescue can sometimes be difficult. In an accident situation, timely help from a companion could prove essential.
Open and Master category
A deduction on the race time can be requested by the Competitor who has stopped to assist another Competitor. The request must be sent to the Organization which will deepen the details (eg by examining the GPS track).
6.3 PENALTIES TO THE TC (Cat . Open and Master)
Any minutes of penalty will be added to the total travel time of the Stage.
Late submissions will result in the attribution of penalties:
- At the start of each stage;
- At the exit from the CO of the Refreshment / Recharge Point;
One minute delay at the TC is equivalent to one minute penalty. Two minutes late equals a two minute penalty and so on.
6.4 EXCLUSION FROM THE RACE AND THE STAGE (Cat . Open and Master)
The competitor who does not finish a Stage in the established time will be excluded from the race but will be able to continue in the following Stages as a participant in the Randonnée category and will be considered FINISHER of the Randonnée only.
Reasons for exclusion from a Stage are:
- The arrival at the CO of the Refreshment and Recharging Point beyond the maximum time set by the organization;
- The arrival at a Time Gate after the maximum time set by the Organization;
- The arrival at the TC at the end of the Stage after the maximum time foreseen by the Organization;
6.4 INFRINGEMENTS (Cat . Open and Master)
The staff on the course is authorized to verify the compliance with the Regulations by the riders and to carry out all kinds of checks. If any irregularities or infringements are found, they will be reported to the Race Direction who will evaluate the assignment of penalties.
The following are grounds for penalty or disqualification:
- Cuts to the race track;
- Departure from a checkpoint after the cut-off time;
- Turning off or tampering with the GPS tracking system (for all categories);
- Mechanical assistance by external people during the race;
- The use of a means of transport;
- The abandonment of waste (for all categories);
- Failure to help another runner in difficulty (for all categories);
- The Jury will evaluate whether to penalize the time, apply a financial penalty or disqualify a participant if he / she shows evident dangerous or unsportsmanlike behavior (for all categories);
6.5 RANKINGS (Cat . Open and Master)
At the end of each stage a provisional classification will be established.
The category rankings and the general ranking will be drawn up by adding the total times used by the Competitors to travel the different stages, in addition to any penalties.
There is no team / team ranking.
6.6 CATEGORIES
The Open and Master categories are provided for the following classes as required by the FCI regulations, they are the following:
- EEM 1 OPEN MEN 19-35;
- EEM 2 OPEN MEN 36-45;
- EEM 3 OPEN MEN 46-55;
- EEM 4 OPEN MEN 56-Beyond;
- EEW OPEN WOMEN;
The Junior category (17/18 years) is not admitted;
The final award ceremony is foreseen only for categories (or groupings of categories) with a minimum of 3 members.
6.7 FINISHER
Participants who have successfully completed all stages will be awarded as Finisher.
The riders of the Open and Master Categories, in case of exclusion or interruption of a Stage, can continue in the Randonnée Category and will be Finisher of this Category.
6.8 COMPLAINTS
Complaints regarding the conduct of tests, rankings, the behavior of other competitors, etc. they must be presented in writing and delivered to the President of the Jury, accompanied by the payment of the sum of € 50, which will be withheld if the complaint is deemed unfounded and unjustified.
Complaints must be submitted no later than 30 minutes from the full exposure of the daily ranking. The President of the Jury will communicate his decision within 60 minutes from the presentation of the aforementioned complaint, and in any case before the day’s award ceremony.
Security
7.1 ETHICS (for all Categories)
All runners must behave with respect towards:
- of all the people and bikes crossed on the trails;
- of the other runners, letting the fastest ones pass and providing assistance to those in difficulty (the race time will be stopped for those who give help);
- of nature (leaving no waste and following the marked paths, so as not to damage the soil);
- of the Organizing Staff.
7.2 ROUTE CHANGES (for all Categories)
The organization reserves the right to modify, divert or eliminate parts of the route, to ensure the safety of the competition.
In case of force majeure The Organization Director, in agreement with the President of the Jury, can modify the times and the route as well before departure or before each TC communicating the decision to all participants as quickly as possible.
7.3 GROUPING/BREAKING
For all categories
The Organization may decide to interrupt a Stage at any time for any reason. Runners will be informed on the telephone and through the staff about the course.
in case of interruption of the race, the competitors will be notified of the best way to return to All Around Camp .
Open and Master categories
In case of interruption or suspension of a Stage (for safety reasons), all the competitors who cannot finish the race will be assigned the time taken by the slowest of the competitors.
For a stage or a portion of it (up to a Time Gate or the CO of the Refreshment / Recharge Point) to be valid, it is essential that at least 50% of the competitors have completed this stage or portion.
7.4 ASSISTANCE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT (for all categories)
The race takes place in an alpine environment where rescue can be difficult. In an accident situation, timely help from a companion could prove essential.
In case of an accident it is mandatory that each competitor lends assistance to the competitor in difficulty and warns the Staff for help.
The Competitor arrived at the site must inform the Organization by telephone to assess the situation and take the necessary measures for intervention.
It is advisable to create a safe area around the injured cyclist and inform the following participants, placing a bicycle at least 50 meters before the accident.
7.5 ASSISTANCE OF THE ORGANIZATION TO COMPETITORS
The Organization foresees a whole series of actions aimed at guaranteeing the maximum possible assistance in case of need by a competitor.
A team of two people in eMTB will close the race by covering the entire itinerary and will provide help and mechanical support to those in need. In the event of an irreparable breakdown, assistance will notify the team traveling on 4×4 off-road cars in the immediate vicinity to organize the transport of the eMTB and the competitor to the meeting point with the shuttle that will have the task of bringing the person and the eMTB to Annex Around Camp.
In case of impossibility of transporting the person, the intervention of the Alpine Rescue will be requested through a call on the dedicated radio channel.
An ambulance and a dTCtor are always present on departure and arrival.
7.6 WITHDRAWAL (for all Categories)
In case of withdrawal, it is imperative that the Competitor inform the Organization immediately.
The Organization will indicate the best way to return to All Around Camp .
The Competitor who abandons the race without communicating it will have to bear all the possible search costs by the rescue personnel.
The competitor who has withdrawn from a stage will be able to regularly resume the race the following day in the Randonnée category.
7.7 INSURANCE
The organizing company (eBIKE VdA) has registered the event on the FCI (Italian Cycling Federation) calendar and consequently is covered by the insurance of the organization itself, as well as its own RCT policy.
eBIKE VdA cannot be held responsible in any way for accidents that may TCcur during the course of the race.
It is recommended that you have your own personal insurance that covers any injury.
7.8 VARIATIONS TO THE REGULATION
Any changes to the competition program will be made official by means of official press releases by the Panel of Jury .
7.9 eMTB FCI STANDARDS ( Cat . Open and Master)
For anything not provided for in these regulations, please refer to the “e-MTB 2022 – FORMAT ENDURO” section of the E-MTB 2022 regulations of the Italian Cycling Federation.
Privacy
8.1 PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
Participation in the Event involves the processing of the personal data of the participants for the purposes and in the manner described in the Organizer’s Privacy Policy.
The data controller is the Organizer.
By registering for the Event, the participant confirms that he has carefully read the Organizer’s Privacy Policy.
8.2 VIDEO-PHOTOGRAPHIC SHOOTING
The methods of carrying out the Event foresee the shooting of video-photographic recordings in order to dTCument the event; among the services connected to the registration for the Event, the Organizer also offers the possibility to all participants to purchase the photos and videos of the Event in which their image is present.
The video-photographic footage will affect all participants indifferently and will be published and made available on the ENDU platform (sites and applications) of Engagigo srl, to allow them to be viewed, purchased (if provided) and shared by participants and subjects authorized by them.
The participant acknowledges and accepts that, in consideration of the public nature of the Event, the object of the dissemination and marketing services of the video-photographic recordings of the Event as well as the impossibility of selectively limiting the video-photographic recordings, to register and to participate in the Event, it is necessary to authorize the shooting and use of one’s own image in the manner and for the purposes indicated in these Regulations, as well as in the Disclaimer and in the Privacy Policy.
